Ekas Bay Surf Day Trip from Kuta Lombok
Escape to one of Indonesia's best-kept surfing secrets. Ekas Bay offers world-class waves, turquoise water, breathtaking scenery, and lineups so uncrowded you'll wonder why you didn't come sooner.
Why Visit Ekas Bay?
Indonesia's Best Kept Secret
While surfers flock to Bali and the south coast of Lombok, Ekas remains relatively undiscovered. World-class waves without the crowds.
Multiple Breaks in One Location
Inside Ekas for playful intermediate waves. Outside Ekas for more power. Multiple peaks to choose from based on conditions.
Year-Round Consistency
Ekas faces southeast, catching different swells than the south coast. When everywhere else is flat or too big, Ekas often delivers.
Stunning Scenery
Turquoise water, dramatic cliffs, and pristine beaches. Ekas looks like it belongs in a travel magazine – because it does.
Surf Breaks at Ekas Bay
Inside Ekas
A playful right-hander breaking over reef, perfect for intermediate surfers looking to build confidence on reef breaks. Forgiving takeoff zone with long, fun walls for practicing turns.
Outside Ekas
For advanced surfers seeking more power. Breaks further out with bigger, more powerful waves. Can hold significant swell and delivers barrel sections on the right conditions.

Best Time to Surf Ekas
Ekas Bay faces southeast, which means it picks up different swells than the south coast. This makes it a great option year-round:
- Dry Season (April-October): Southeast trade winds blow offshore, creating clean conditions. The bay is protected from the southwest swells that can make the south coast too big.
- Wet Season (November-March): Ekas often delivers when the south coast goes flat. Monsoon swells from the southeast can light up the bay.
Tide: Inside Ekas works best at mid to high tide. Outside Ekas can handle lower tides. We always check conditions before leaving to ensure a great session.
